Eritrean footballers apply for asylum

Ten members of the Eritrean football team have decided to apply for asylum in Botswana in their quest for freedom and dignity. The Eritrean Movement for Democracy and Human Rights (EMDHR) is doing its level best to support the players to get the protection they deserve. We call upon all Eritreans of good will to join hands in saving these innocent compatriots from being forcibly repatriated to Eritrea where their action will be regarded as treason.
